Afstudeerder: Effect van textuur cosmeticaverpakking
As part of his master assignment Boris Pris held a speech on 9 May 2016 entitled: Manipulating cosmetic product packaging to improve multisensory product experience.
Theorists argue that a product will be evaluated more positively if multisensory stimuli match (a lavender-scented product should also ‘feel’ like lavender flowers). In an experiment with two fictitious body care brands subjects matched textures and visual designs with brand-specific associations. Based on those results, matching textured container concepts were designed and evaluated. Results suggest that congruent textures positively influence smell perception and product evaluation (Website Universiteit Twente, mei 2016).
