NVC uncovers innovations at pharmaceutical packaging exhibition InnoPack 2014

Packaging of pharmaceutical products and medical devices requires specific knowledge in areas such as packaging materials, legislation, risk and safety. NVC Netherlands Packaging Centre is focusing on the hot topics with several NVC activities during the pharmaceutical packaging exhibition InnoPack (part of CPhI WorldWide 2014, the number one pharma sourcing event) which takes place from 7-9 October in Paris.

Lectures on best practices and packaging innovations are addressed in the NVC Innovation Briefs which take place on October 7th and 8th.

Visitors can join the daily NVC Innovation Tours. These tours give an overview of the main pharmaceutical packaging innovations at the InnoPack. The tour will conclude with a general question and answer session. The NVC Innovation Tours start at 1.45 PM at the NVC Information Point at the InnoPack Innovation Gallery.

NVC’s managing director, Michael Nieuwesteeg, is part of the jury of the CPhI Pharma Award competition. On October 7th, the winner of this prestigious competition on innovative packaging will be announced. The CPhI Pharma Awards recognise thought leadership on an international stage, unveiling top pharma innovators to global trade press during the InnoPack. Entries relate to innovation in primary packaging, devices & technology, patient compliance, dispensers and packaging materials. The finalists will present their innovations on the CPhI Worldwide show floor on October 7th, followed by the announcement of the winners. The other members of the jury are Dr. Rene Bommer (pharmAccel Consulting) and Ms. Hilary Ayshford (HPCi Media).
