Afstudeerder: Producten verpakken voor circulaire economie

On 12 February 2015 Mark Scholte held a speech as part of his master assignment entitled: Development of a method to assess the sustainability of packaging products regarding the circular economy. He did his graduation research at Ardagh Group, a worldwide active market leader in metal and glass packaging.
The circular economy is a sustainable economic system in which flows are depicted as loops, causing waste streams to substitute new inputs in the life cycle. A method to assess the “circularity” of the life cycle of packaging products is developed. The method can be used to analyse the processes in all stages of a packaging life cycle (Website Universiteit Twente, februari 2015).
