Agronauta: Project voor oogst- en verpakkingsrobot tomaten

The new research project Agronauta (Automation agronomic work in intensive farms using robotics), is an experimental development project for the collection and preparation of tomatoes in the greenhouse using a mobile robotic system, supported by an intelligent production environment. The project has a timeframe of four years from 2015.
Agronauta aims to develop a revolutionary prototype production system in the intensive production under plastic. In order to close the production cycle the system will be completed with the development of new packaging systems to be installed on the farm itself (Persbericht Ingenieria de Aplicaciones SA, IDASA, 23 februari 2015).
