Geen nieuw beperkingsvoorstel gebruik cadmium in kunststof

ECHA has published its assessment of the use of cadmium and its compounds in plastic materials not covered by entry 23 of the REACH Restriction List (Annex XVII). The report analyses the use of cadmium in plastics and gives the reasons for not proposing a restriction at this stage.
This Annex XV report focuses on the identification of uses/applications of cadmium and its compounds in plastic materials and articles; a review of the current knowledge of the health hazards of cadmium; and an assessment of the human health hazards related to cadmium pigments. This report also provides some information on classification and labelling of cadmium pigments (ECHA e-News, 25 maart 2015).
