Interpackartikel over Industrie 4.0 – Van visioen naar realiteit

Interpack 2017 will take place 4-10 May in Düsseldorf. In the period leading to the exhibition the organisation is publishing a number of technical articles. The seventh article, published 5 April 2017, is about Industry 4.0.
The digital transformation towards networked production environments in terms of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) and/or the Internet of Things (IoT) is gaining momentum. Numerous applications from the areas of product and process monitoring, labelling technology, packaging, logistics as well as maintenance and repair show already today the optimisation potential that this transformation to the IoT holds. These “things” are sensors, RFID chips, devices, machines and plants.
