Prestatie bio-geproduceerde PE en PET in flexibele verpakking

17 maart 2016

For her Master’s Degree at Lund University in Sweden, Amanda Persson investigated the environmental performance of conventional grades of polyethylene (PE) and polyethylene terephthalates (PET) and PE and PET produced by a new pathway using a biomass feedstock of sugar cane.
She also aimed to investigate the production performance of the new qualities to ensure that they are exchangeable in Flextrus’ production as well as at their customer sites. She found that, over all there is no obvious difference between the materials. In most of the tests the new qualities perform well enough to be used in the same combination as the conventional material and keep the standard of the product.
