In a new report Technavio's analysts estimate the global SCARA (Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm) robots market in the F&B industry, to grow at a CAGR of 25% by 2020.
There is increased implementation of robotics in process lines like parallel processing, packaging, palletizing, and shipment of retail products with minimal lead time. The implementation of application-specific robots has resulted in attaining the cost saving targets of the industry market participants. For instance, in the FMCG market packaging sector, which forms the major share of the end product's cost, the employment of packaging robots has attained reduction of wastage and has improved operational workflows.
