SE EPA: Vraag minimaal 5 SEK voor eenmalige plastic tasjes

In March the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency published a report on single-use plastic bag consumption in the country and how to reduce it. The report calls for introducing a minimum fee of 5 Swedish kroner (SEK) per bag. Plastic bags below 15 microns in thickness would be exempt.
The report goes a step further in encouraging fees for recyclable paper bags, although this is not a requirement of Directive (EU) 2015/720. The EPA report notes that Sweden must implement its plastic bag reduction methods by 27 November 2016, to be in compliance with the EU Directive. The report was presented to the Swedish Parliament (Recycling Laws International, 5 april 2016).
