According to a new report by Stratistics MRC, the global active & intelligent packaging market is poised to be $15.7 billion in 2015 with CAGR of 10.9% and is expected to reach $32.7 billion by 2022. There is a raise in demand because of varying lifestyle and the necessity to create longer life products. Stringent management regulations about safety standards and food packaging are other such factors which are contributing to this market.
Improved testing costs and harmful effects of packaging resources are the factors hampering the market. Gas scavenger demand will rise at a faster speed as a result of extended applications for oxygen scavengers in beverage, food and pharmaceutical packaging.
