According to a new report by Stratistics MRC, the global cups and lids market is estimated to be $20.89 billion in 2015 and is projected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 11.1% to reach $43.82 billion by 2022. Growth will be fueled by the significant role of beverages as revenue generators for restaurants, coupled with the increasing focus on specialty beverages among foodservice vendors. The growing trend of snacking instead of conventional meals will be beneficial for single portion packaging formats such as cups. The fastest growth rates are expected in emerging nations of Asia Pacific. In contrast, market saturation in developed nations will moderate overall growth.
