Wereldmarkt drankenkartons 2014-2020

According to a new report by Smithers Pira, the global volume demand for liquid packaging board is expected to pick up in 2015, with annual growth of more than 2% predicted, followed by average growth of 3.5% annually to 2020. The market totalled just less than 3 million tonnes in 2014, worth an estimated $11.4 billion at converter level, and this will grow to 3.6 million tonnes by 2020, valued at $13.8 billion at constant 2014 prices.
Whilst the developed regions currently represent the lion’s share of the global market, the growth will be centered on the emerging economies in Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and South & Central America (Nieuwsbericht Smithers Pira, 16 juli 2015).
