In a new report Technavio’s market research analysts predict the global LDPE packaging market to grow at a CAGR of almost 6% during the period 2017-2021. The top vendors include Amcor, Bemis, Berry Plastics, Huhtamaki Group and Sealed Air. The analysts highlight 3 factors that are contributing to the growth of the market: 1) Growth in demand for stretch and shrink film packaging. There is a growing demand for convenient packaging solution products, such as peel-off lids, zippers, pouches, and pouring spouts, especially from the food and beverage industry. 2) Increased demand for convenience packaging. 3) Increased demand for lightweight packaging (Persbericht Technavio, 18 oktober 2017).
