According to a new report by MarketsandMarkets, the global ink solvents market has witnessed a moderate growth for the past few years and this growth is estimated to increase in the coming years. The properties such as solvency, good flow, solvent stability, dilutability and remarkable gloss provides good surface appearance and ink performance, will be the key influencing factors with an increased emphasis on its different applications and their ink solvent chemistry types.
More than 48% of the total demand was consumed by the flexible packaging application in 2013. The growth of the corrugated cardboard and folding cartons applications is also driving the growth for ink solvents.
