In a new report Technavio's analysts forecast the global packaging machinery market, to grow at a CAGR of more than 5%, and generate revenues of $51 billion between 2016 and 2020. The use of packaging machines has become inevitable owing to the increasing number of new products that have varying packaging needs.
Automatic machines are the new buzz in the packaging industry. These machines have better manufacturing procedures and reduce labour expenses. The use of robotic machines is the latest trend in the market. These robots are equipped with advanced monitoring and control capabilities to maintain packaging lines and reduce energy consumption (Persbericht Technavio, 1 februari 2016).
