In a new report Technavio’s market research analysts predict the global e-commerce packaging market to grow at a CAGR of more than 5% between 2016 and 2020. The increase in the number of manufacturing units across the globe is the fundamental driving force behind growth in this market. At present, the market is dominated by APAC, which accounts for almost 33% of the overall market share. In 2015, the corrugated box segment dominated the market by occupying more than 54% of the market share. Cost-effectiveness, versatility, light-weight, and sturdiness of corrugated boxes are some of the factors contributing to its popularity in retail packaging (Persbericht Technavio, 30 mei 2016).
