Cushion labels for Glass Containers

Glass containers filled with pharmaceuticals require particularly complex packaging to ensure that they arrive at the customer’s location in tact. The new Pharma-Cushion label ensures that the vials safely reach their destination. The development is a specialty label which has been provided with a layer of foam on the back that wraps around the container like a protective cushion. The front of the label is used for marking purposes. For easy application of the label to the containers by dispensing systems the material structure is thin and flexible (Packaging Connections Newsletter, 2 January 2012).
