EU Parlementsvergadering-Implementatie verpakkingsrichtlijn

On 21 June, the European Parliament ENVI (Environment, Public Health and Food Safety) Committee held an exchange of views with Commission representatives on the implementation of the Waste Framework Directive and the Packaging Directive. At their meeting on 24 February 2015, coordinators agreed to host regular sessions on various implementation issues at the ENVI Committee meetings.
This was the second session devoted to waste legislation, dealing with the questions remaining from the first session on 24 May. The Members' questions focus on by-products, end-of-waste criteria, distance selling, extended producer responsibility, end-of-life vehicles and waste incineration.
