Verslag conferentie WPO World Packaging Organization

On 26 May 2016 the WPO World Packaging Conference took place in Budapest, organised by the Hungarian Packaging Institute CSAOSZ. The event attracted 130 participants from 34 countries and was concluded with the festive annual Worldstar Packaging Award Ceremony.
NVC director and WPO board member Michael Nieuwesteeg was invited to present the latest insights on education in packaging. He addressed this hot topic in an interactive lecture with the title: ‘Did you take your lesson today? Why lifelong business learning is essential for sustainable packaging development.’ WPO vice-president Dr Johannes Bergmair focused on the role packaging could and should play in the prevention of food waste.
