According to a new report by Technavio, the CAGR for the global flexible industrial packaging market is expected to be over 6% during the period 2018-2022, however, the market's growth momentum will decelerate owing to a decrease in the year over year growth. In 2017, EMEA dominated the global market with a share of over 40%. EMEA was followed by the Americas and APAC, with Americas expected to witness the maximum growth over the forecast period. The growing demand for biodegradable packaging alternatives is one of the key emerging trends. The key players in the market include Berry Global, Greif, LC Packaging, Mondi Group and Sonoco Products Company (Persbericht Technavio, 27 april 2018).
