According to a new report by Technavio, the global plastic films market will grow at a CAGR of close to 6% during the period 2018-2022. The increased demand for barrier packaging is a significant driver that will impact the growth of the market during the forecast period. APAC occupied the largest share in the market in the year 2017, accounting for a market share of more than 36%, followed by the Americas and EMEA respectively. In APAC, China is the leading country which is driving the market.
The key players in the global plastic films market include AEP Industries, Amcor, Berry Global, Jindal Poly Films, RPC Group and Sealed Air (Persbericht Technavio, 8 juni 2018).
