According to a new Transparency Market Research report the global rigid packaging market is anticipated to grow from US$549.7 Bn in 2014 to US$750.5 Bn by 2021. This market is driven by the rising usage of rigid packaging in the pharmaceuticals and food and beverages industries. Asia Pacific accounted for a 41.2% share of the overall market in 2014. Food and beverages held the largest share of the overall rigid packaging market and this segment is estimated to register a 4.30% CAGR by 2021.
