Key vendors are Amcor, Bemis, Mondi and Smurfit Kappa. The market is divided into flexible and rigid packaging. The market for flexible plastic chocolate packaging is growing because of its favorable properties including its lightweight properties. Vendors are introducing new packaging solutions to appeal to the aesthetic taste of the consumers and simultaneously increase the shelf life of the product as well, thereby reviving the consumer interest in their chocolates (Persbericht Technavio, 12 oktober 2017).
