According to a new market report the global green packaging market was valued at USD 132.47 billion in 2014 and is expected to reach USD 203.15 billion by 2021, growing at a CAGR of 6.2% from 2015 to 2021.
The global green packaging market is primarily driven by increasing health awareness among consumers. In addition, consumer preference towards healthy and biodegradable packaging is one of the key driving factors responsible for the growth of the market. Increasing environmental concern is also boosting the demand and the dearth of natural resources is also contributing to the growing demand for green packaging (Persbericht Transparency Market Research, 19 mei 2015).
